As part of the efficiencies and streamlining process in NCL our practice will be moving to a new referral system this summer.
What does this mean to you?
Until the activation date we will continue with the system that you are familiar with. The GP creates the referral form and the admin team will process it. In some instances when more information was needed, we would contact the patient and also help with appointment queries.
What is changing?
The GP will still create the referral form but it will now be passed onto a central booking team. The team will process the booking in accordance with NCL guidelines. If the patient has any queries about the appointment, they will need to contact the booking team. We will update with contact details on this website once the system goes live.
What is NOT changing?
Cancer referrals are still processed by the practice as before.
